4.9 magnitude quake hits Taiwan: CENC

BEIJING, April 19 (Xinhua) -- A 4.9 magnitude earthquake hit Taiwan's eastern coast near Hualien county around 9:58 a.m. Beijing time on Thursday, said the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC)。
The epicenter was monitored at 24.2 degrees north latitude and 121.7 degrees east longitude with a depth of 15 km, according to the CENC。
