DORTMUND, March 26 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese men did not have problems in their second encounter at the World Team Table Tennis Championships here on Monday, beating DPR Korea 3-0.
Wang Hao started with a 3-0 victory over Jang Song Man (11-4, 11-5, 11-5), reigning individual world champion Zhang Jike defeated Kim Hyok Bong also in 3-0 (11-8, 11-9, 11-7) and Xu Xin followed the suit to win in straight sets against Kim Song Nam (11- 4, 11-6, 11-8).
"I'm satisfied with my players," Chinese coach Liu Guoliang said. "I emphasized many times, every player should be standby always, everyone should have the ability to win once he stands before the table. The DPR Korean team is very strong as they beat Sweden yesterday, and it's a good proof of their ability. You know, in this group, we have seen many fresh faces, they are not from Japan or South Korea, whom we already meet many times. I appreciate all of them."
China posted its second victory in Group A after Sunday's 3-0 win against Greece. Second placed Germany will meet Singapore later on Monday for their third match in Group B.
