Injured white dolphin found in Guangdong
Photo taken on March 12, 2012 shows an injured Chinese white dolphin in Luocun Village of Foshan, south China's Guangdong Province. The dophin, with its dorsal fin and caudal fin injured, was found in a river of the village and sent to a Chinese white dolphin nature reserve for treatment Monday. It got lost due to the hurt of echolocation system, according to a preliminary analysis of experts. The Chinese white dolphin, boasting the nickname of "giant panda in the sea" and living mainly in the sea areas around Xiamen and the Pearl River estuary in southern China, is a mammal guarded under the first-class state protection.
