Nicole Richie has taken part in a stunning photoshoot for Flare magazine

The 30-year-old mother of two is also seen in the graduated tonal outfit which reveals a strip of her midriff

On the cover of the magazine the petite designer is seen showing off an intricate gold ensemble

She originally found fame with her then-best friend Paris Hilton as a reality TV star who was known more for her cheeky personality than for her style sense.

But Nicole Richie has transformed herself and is now a fashion force to be reckoned with - even starring as a mentor on a new show Fashion Star.

The designer has displayed her shape as well as her style in a seductive shoot for Flare magazine and Nicole boldly graces the cover of its April edition.

In a behind the scenes video the 30-year-old mother-of-two shares some of her best style tips.

Nicole says: 'I would say the secret to great style is being confident in what you are wearing and having fun and taking chances.'

And speaking about her current wardrobe staple she says: 'My go-to right now is my beautiful Helmut land black blazer and I think it is a great statement piece and every girl should have a great blazer.'

She adds: 'It’s a great way to transition from day to night.'

In a recent interview with Ocean Drive magazine the fashion designer spoke out about her wild child past and spoke fondly of the time.

She told the magazine: 'You have to remember that I was 20 years old. I don’t know anybody who can look back at who they were at 20 and say, ‘I’m the exact same person.'

Nicole, who was arrested for DUI in 2003 and 2006 and went into rehab to deal with her addiction problem, also spoke about how she has changed since her Simple Life days.

She added: 'I have fond memories of that time. I was doing a show with my best friend and we didn’t really have to do much. We were just being ourselves - and playing it up for the cameras.'
