Adele, Rihanna, Lady GaGa and Lil Wayne lead Nominations of 2012 Billboard Music Awards
Full nomination list for this year's Billboard Music Awards has just been revealed. Adele, Rihanna, Lady GaGa and Lil Wayne are among the leaders by scoring at least 10 nods each. Also getting multiple noms are duo Redfoo and SkyBlu.
Adele receives the most nods with a total of 18 nominations, LMFAO follow with 17, Riri trails behind them with 13, and both the Mother Monster and Weezy get 10 each. All of them, except for the electro/pop duo, are vying for the coveted Top Artist along with Katy Perry.
Although the "Sorry for Party Rocking" hitmakers miss the Top Artist category, they are listed in Top Duo/Group. To take home the title, they have to beat such strong competitors as Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay, Lady Antebellum and Maroon 5.
Other artists who are competing in more than one nomination include Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Drake and Bruno Mars. The four male artists bump into each other in one category, Top Male Artist, along with their senior Weezy.
In Top New Artist, Scotty McCreery is mentioned as one of the contenders. The singer, who claimed his fame after winning "American Idol" season 10, is facing off Big Sean, Foster the People, Wiz Khalifa and Eminem's group Bad Meets Evil.
The 2012 Billboard Music Awards will take place at Las Vegas' MGM Grand and will be broadcast live Sunday, May 20 at 8/7c on ABC. Some nominees can be found in the following list, while the rest can be obtained on full nomination list on Billboard's official website.
