And Avril Lavigne has once again shocked with her latest 'do.

The 27-year-old Canadian singer has shaved one side of her head and rocked the punk style whilst out in Paris, France tonight.

Returning to a more natural hue of honey blonde, Avril let her new buzz-cut do all the talking.

She complimented her new tresses with a leather biker jacket and a black and white striped T-shirt.

The razor-edge look is just one of many styles the star has sported over the years.

Avril often dyes her hair in a rainbow variety of colours, including bold pink and green.

The singer is currently plotting her musical comeback after her introspective last album Goodbye Lullaby flopped.

Recently she collaborated with Sally Hansen on limited-edition, edgy designs for Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips.

Avril's designs range from pink and sparkly with skull and cross bones to black and white polka dot, metallic, and yellow and black checkers.

'I have to fight to keep my image really me.... I rejected some gorgeous publicity shots because they just didn't look like me. I won't wear skanky clothes that show my booty, my belly or my boobs. I have a great body,' she once told MTV News.
