BEIJING, Jan. 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Days-old Blue Ivy Carter, Grammy-winning singer Beyonce's daughter, is already the most famous baby in the world.
Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z welcomed the "beautiful baby girl" last Saturday night at New York's Lenox Hill Hospital
There have been reports about the intense security in the hospital where the singer gave birth, with the entire sixth floor on lockdown.
However, hospital spokesman Frank Danza dismissed the reports by saying that the new parents were in an "executive suite" and "billed the standard rate for those accommodations.""Our executive suites are available for any patient, including the food service and amenities provided to the Carter family."
He also added that no security would have prevented a parent from gaining access to the neonatal intensive unit and no family complained to the hospital about it.
There are heated discussion about how much the baby's photo would cost, since it's all about commerce and paparazzi are on the hunt.
"If it's the picture everyone wants, which is Beyonce and Jay-Z together with their baby enjoying her for the first time, and it's exclusive, it could be well over 100,000 U.S. dollars for first rights in the U.S., and up to half a million for global rights depending on how long it's exclusive," said Gary Morgan, CEO of Splash!, the celebrity photo agency.
Apparently, the couple couldn't care less about that right now. The new dad Jay-Z released a song on his website welcoming his baby girl entitled "Glory," featuring “B.I.C.”—or Blue Ivy Carter herself.
The lyrics are sweet and straightforward, and Jay sounds mostly in awe at the whole thing : "Most amazing feeling I feel, words can't describe the feeling for real. Baby I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you, you. Glory."
