NANJING, March 17 (Xinhua) -- At least 6 people have been confirmed dead and 30 others injured in four separate multi-pileup accidents involving more than 60 vehicles on an expressway in east China city of Xuzhou Saturday morning, according to the local traffic police.
The source said all the accidents happened in the Xuzhou section of Beijing-Taiwan Expressway in Jiangsu Province Saturday morning.
More casualties are feared, as rescuers are still searching for victims in the crashed vehicles.
Among the injured, six are in critical condition.
The expressway section was shrouded in a dense fog Saturday morning.Traffic on both directions on the expressway have remained blocked.
