Remote village gets some help

Two officers from the Tibet Armed Police Corps ride up the rough and bumpy hill roads on May 29, carrying food and farming supplies for the 12 families in Zeba village, Tibet. For more than 10 years, officers have been bringing supplies to the villagers and teaching them farming techniques. This is their 173rd ride. [Photo/Xinhua]

Zeba village is situated on the cliffs of Nujiang Grand Canyon. The hill reaches a height of 1,007 kilometers and has a slope of 70 degrees. Villagers have to rely on horses to get around. [Photo/Xinhua]
