The Voice's Season 2 winner is revealed
Clockwise: Chris Mann, Tony Lucca, Jermaine Paul and Juliet Simms
The Voice has a winner!
After a season of tears, tough decisions and even a mini feud, the top four singers – Jermaine Paul, Tony Lucca, Chris Mann and Juliet Simms – performed on stage for the final night of competition on Monday.
On Tuesday's live finale, their coaches – Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green – were just as nervous as their protégés.
"I truly believe that any one of these four deserve to win," Adam said at the start of the show.
But only one can be named The Voice and be signed to Universal Republic Records. Keep reading to find out the winner ...
"It is the moment we've been waiting for all season long," host Carson Daly said before announcing the results.
Jermaine Paul, a former back-up singer for Alicia Keys, is the winner! Before reprising his performance of "I Believe I Can Fly" from the night before, an emotional Paul, a father of four, embraced his coach, who shouted, "You did it! You did it!"
Juliet Simms of Team Cee Lo placed second, while Team Adam's Tony Lucca landed in third, followed by opera singer Chris Mann of Team Christina in fourth.
