Social Commentary: China's new political party system, great political creation
The State Council Information Office issued a white paper "China's New Political Party System" on the 25th, which systematically explained the system of multi-party cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party of China, China’s comprehensive presentation of a basic political system to the world is undoubtedly of great historical significance. From this, the world can see more clearly that the Communist Party of China and the democratic parties have coexisted, supervised each other, shared honour and disgrace for a long time, forming a political pattern of "Communist Party leadership, multi-party cooperation, Communist Party ruling, and multi-party participation in politics." The new model of party politics can be called a great political creation of human society.
Born in the historical process of China's democratic revolution in modern times, developed in the great process of socialist revolution, construction, and reform, and perfected in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, China's new political party system has been tested in practice and demonstrated its unique superiority and strong vitality. Observing this historical process in depth, we can come to the conclusion that the development achievements of New China that have attracted worldwide attention are inseparable from the role played by China's new party system in promoting the modernization of the country's governance system and governance capabilities.
China's new political party system has grown out of Chinese soil and has distinctive Chinese characteristics, so it is unanimously recognized by the Chinese people. People will never forget that after the Revolution of 1911, China copied the Western parliamentary party system and caused serious social turmoil. In just over ten years, ten heads of state were changed, 45 cabinets were formed, political smog, the country torn apart, warlords continued to fight, and people’s livelihood. The white paper pointed out that the Chinese Communist Party is in a leading and ruling position. The democratic parties are socialist parties with Chinese characteristics. The democratic parties are not opposition parties or opposition parties, nor bystanders or outsiders. The Communist Party of China and the democratic parties have always maintained a new type of party relationship that is fully cooperative, united and harmonious. There are things to be discussed and everyone's matters are discussed by everyone, and the greatest common divisor of the will and requirements of the whole society is found. For the true essence of people's democracy, those Westerners who are obsessed with the dualistic thinking of black and white either have their heads unable to keep up, or they are envious and jealous. In their eyes, only those who rigidly implement a two-party or multi-party system are considered democratic, otherwise they are autocratic. I have to say, what a narrow concept this is. These people are advised to understand the two sentences in the white paper-"What kind of political party system a country implements is determined by the country's historical traditions and actual national conditions. The world's political party systems are diverse, and there is no and impossible. It is generally applicable to the political party system of various countries."
Political parties are an important force to promote the progress of human civilization. The political logic of China's new party system has created a new atmosphere of vigorous development of China's politics. The so-called like-minded people, the Communist Party of China and all democratic parties and people without party affiliation have the same goal, that is, to achieve national independence, the liberation of the people, the prosperity of the country, and the happiness of the people.
