Hailstones as big as ping-pong balls fell in Dafengdong town of Kaili city in Guizhou province on April 12, 2012. A hailstorm bashed four towns in Kaili, affecting 36,600 people and causing a direct economic loss of 26.7 million yuan ($3.97 million).
