New releases from Ken Loach, David Cronenberg, Wes Anderson and Michael Haneke are among the films going head-to-head in the race for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival on May 16-27.
Following is a list of the 22 films contending for the top award, along with out-of-competition festival screenings and the 17 films in the parallel section "Un Certain Regard" which showcases fresh talent.
