Lindsay Lohan's rep: truck driver is 'telling tales' about crash
Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan is lucky to walk away from Friday's car accident without any serious injuries. But crashing a Porsche into a large dump truck on the Pacific Coast Highway is causing the troubled actress new headaches.
As cops investigate the cause of the accident, Lohan's rep, Steve Honig, tells PEOPLE, "Lindsay cooperated fully with law enforcement. She has answered all their questions and provided them with everything they have asked for."
Meanwhile the truck driver claims that a member of Lohan's entourage allegedly tried to bribe him into not calling the police from the scene of the crash.
"The guy took me across the street and told me this was some kind of famous person and they didn't want to be in the media," the truck driver, referred to as James, told TMZ. "But I'd already called 911 because they were trying to get away from the scene."
When asked about the truck driver's allegation, Honig told PEOPLE, "It seems to me once he realized he wasn't going to get anything from Lindsay he decided to get cash by telling tales to the tabloids. I hope he got whatever money he was looking for. Personally, all I care about is that Lindsay and [her assistant] Gavin are okay."
Lohan, 25, was on her way to the set of her upcoming Lifetime movie, Liz & Dick, at the time of the accident.
