1,000-yr-old ancient temple under demolition

The 1,000-year-old Kaiyuan Temple has been reduced to a framework after a demolition attempt by a local developer.

The temple,located in City of Shaoxing in East China's Zhejiang Province, has a history of over a thousand years. Local residents frown at the practice to pull down the time-honored temple. 

As the temple proves listed as the historical relics under the state protection, the unauthorized demolition to it has thus been called off.
