On the afternoon of May 24, the sewage treatment system was reopened during the maintenance operation of the company, which caused the overflow of toxic and harmful gases such as hydrogen sulfide in the sewage, which caused the poisoning of 2 employees in operation, and then 6 people (3 employees of the company, 3 residents around the factory) ) Successively went to rescue and caused poisoning. A total of 8 people were poisoned in the accident, including 7 deaths and 1 minor injury.
The local city and county ecological environment departments have set up 5 ambient air monitoring points around the Changning County Furong Bamboo Shoots Food Factory since 4 a.m. on May 25, and carried out 3 monitorings.
